Peterborough Bus Rally 2007
Sunday 10th June 2007
11.00 – 16.00 Sacrewell Farm
A pleasant summer Sunday is
guaranteed at this attractive venue at Sacrewell Farm close to the
junction of the A1 and A47 near Peterborough. All vintage and preserved buses
are welcome. We are hoping to operate free bus services to Peterborough city
centre, Wansford village and Nene Valley Railway so there will
be plenty for you and your friends and or family to do.
There hasn’t been a bus rally in the
Peterborough area since the 1993 and 2003 events on the 90th and 100th
anniversaries of public transport in the city. It would be nice to see the
Peterborough Bus Rally become an annual event.
There will be no charge for buses
and their passengers visiting the rally. Reduced entry rates have been
negotiated for those wishing to travel on the Nene Valley Railway or visit the exhibits
at Sacrewell Farm.
Free tea, coffee and soft drinks will
be available in the exhibitors’ marquee for bus crews and their guests. Excellent
café, restaurant and toilet facilities on site.
Good camping and caravanning
facilities with hookups are available and should be booked with the farm
directly.
Visiting buses should, if possible, arrive
before 11.00 and depart after 16.00 on the Sunday. Buses may arrive after 17.00
on Saturday 9th June by arrangement.
Organisations and traders wishing to
exhibit at the rally are welcome. There may be a small charge to go towards the
running costs of the event.
For further information and entry
forms please visit the website at www.pbr.dsl.pipex.com or email pbr@dsl.pipex.com.
Offers of help on the day would also be welcome.
Please pass this information to any
bus owners you know who might be interested in taking part in this event.
